About the American Constructors Foundation
When Bill Heine founded American Constructors 44 years ago, he made philanthropy a key focus. Since then, American Constructors has a long history of giving back to the community. In 2019, American Constructors founded the American Constructors Foundation, a nonprofit corporation dedicated to positively impacting communities by working with and funding local charitable organizations that support children and education.
Bill established the Austin Boys & Girls Club Foundation and has served on the board of directors since 1999, dedicating his time to improving the lives of Austin’s youth and families. American Constructors has supported the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area (BGCAA) through direct donations, event sponsorships and by hosting annual fundraisers. In 2026, the 14th Annual Charity Clay Shoot raised $100,000, bringing our total contributions to the BGCAA to more than $950,000 over the years.
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area
The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area (BGCAA) is the leading youth development agency serving the Austin community. The vision of the BGCAA is to enable all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens. The BGCAA has been a pillar for youth empowerment in Central Texas since 1967.
The organization develops lasting skills in character, leadership, academic success, healthy lifestyles and workforce readiness to bridge the gap between access and opportunity. With 41 Club locations across Travis County, the organization offers fun, high-quality and impactful programming for kids ages 6 to 18. The BGCAA has over 6,500 registered members who call the Clubs home in addition to thousands of youth who engage with them annually.
